Chris Doyle “THE ONE MAN BIG BAND” is one of the most polished Professional Entertainers Brisbane has to offer. He is very much at home on stage and is an accomplished keyboard/pianist, singer/songwriter and recording artist. Chris is extremely versatile, highly sought after and has earned the reputation as a first call entertainer, being that if you have a wedding, party or anything.
He covers a vast cross section of musical styles and has the ability to produce the great ballads “live”. Chris can take you on a musical journey throughout the decades and has gathered a strong selection of easy listening acoustic Jazz standards through to some Big Band swingers, songs from the 30s and 40s for his Morning Melodies followers and some classics and contemporary Rock songs as well. Chris started playing professionally in 1979 whilst still at school and progressed through a succession of cover bands and duos, all the while developing his solo act until in 1989 Chris was pronounced The Newcastle Star’s Solo Entertainer of the Year.
He developed his craft studying piano and singing at both Newcastle & Sydney conservatoriums and in 1992 toured Australia with renowned American country singer Tammy Wynette (playing piano).
For the last 16 years Chris has been touring Nationally & Internationally with a renowned Country/Rock group. Still very active, however the group aren’t doing the arduous road tours constantly as they once did. They’re still doing their fair share of corporate work, festivals, private gigs and record a new album every year or so.
In 2005 Chris and partner Kae moved to Brisbane and since then has been once again creating a name for himself as a solo artist. These days Chris is in high demand and still enjoys his work as he has throughout his career.
Chris has played countless gigs in every state in Australia. He has also toured New Zealand, recorded two albums in Nashville, Tennessee in the USA and five more here in Australia. He Flew to Japan and played in Okinawa for the US Marines and has also toured Iraq & Afghanistan entertaining our Australian Troops in 2008.
Chris holds a Diploma of Music Industry (Business) from the Hunter Institute of Tafe College at Tighes Hill, NSW. Chris is also a signed songwriter with Orient Pacific Publishers (Alberts) Sydney and has had in excess of 200 of his works recorded by various Artists.
With more than 30 years experience in this field, Chris is a seasoned entertainer, comes fully self contained with P.A. and stage lighting and above all, he’s professional. He doesn’t over commit, takes pride in his work and will go the extra mile to the best of his ability to be sure the customer is completely satisfied.
