MEET THE BAND
Casey Rogan: (Vocals and Guitar).
Casey began playing the guitar at the tender age of 8, and by the time he was 16 he was performing in various bands throughout Northern NSW. Throughout 1995 Casey travelled overseas where he was able to hone his craft right across the United States, Canada and Europe before returning to Brisbane where he quickly found himself the resident act and local favourite of some of Brisbane’s most popular live music venues. From there, Casey has performed in various bands all over Australia, and has shared stages with some of Australia’s biggest rock and roll icons. Always the consummate professional, Casey consistently impresses with his energetic stage persona and relishes in entertaining the masses with his onstage antics and outstanding musicianship.
Paul “Ricko” Rickert: (Lead Guitar).
Ricko has been playing the guitar since he was 11 and over the past three decades has played in many bands around Australia and the world. He is an avid classic and progressive rock fan (and secretly a disco lover) and cites players such as Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and David Gilmour as major influences on his playing. When he isn’t playing guitar he is usually found in his workshop tinkering on the restoration of an old guitar or piece of vintage audio equipment.
Kenney “Kage” McIntosh: (Drums).
Kage has been a stalwart of the live music scene for the better part of the last two decades. He cut his teeth on the stages of Rockhampton in the early 90s before moving to Brisbane where his talents were quickly utilised to help kick start the careers of many young up and coming bands. More recently, Kage joined the Rock the Boat tour where he was lucky enough to share the stage with a plethora of international recording and touring artists.
Jose “JR” Villanueva: (Bass Guitar and Vocals)
A master multi-instrumentalist and all round nice guy, JR spent five years studying at the Conservatorium of Music before travelling overseas to specialize in Jazz theory. A longtime member of the Sydney Fusion Jazz Group and the Sexy Sunday Jam, JR has performed and recorded with some of the biggest names in the Australian music industry. His influences range from Victor Wooten and Jaco Pastorius to Dream Theater and Bobby McFerrin.
