For over 20 years The Stoneage Romeos have been involved in the entertainment industry in one form or another.
During the 80’s they were best known for their work as a drummer and Guitarist with several of Melbourne’s top bands. After recording an album with Brent Parlane & 33 South, they went on to play in a number of cover bands including Rock Steady, The Lee Walker Band, Turkeys, Gimix and Thunderbirds Are Go. With these bands they toured the country and supported such acts as Mondo Rock, Split Enz, John Farnham, Mental As Anything and Dragon.
Since relocating to Queensland in 1995, The Stoneage Romeos have established themselves as a highly sought after act.
They have utilised their experience and varied talents to create an energetic, versatile act which showcases a wide variety of songs from the fifties through to current Top 40.
A rich blend of vocals and acoustic/electric guitar accompaniment are enhanced by state of the art technology to create the full sound of a complete band (without the excessive volume).
The Stoneage Romeos can adapt their performances to suit any occasion. With material ranging from ballads to up tempo rock & roll, there is something for everyone.
And with a repertoire of around 200 songs, no two shows are the same. They can easily handle material from such varied acts as The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, The Drifters, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dire Straits, Crowded House, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Kelly, Santana and Robbie Williams. And their selection of Neil Diamond songs always goes down well.
